LOCKDOWN

A sleek stealth fighter, LOCKDOWN is a skilled hunter and tracker who can blend into nearly any environment. He lives for the hunt and for the thrill and challenge it provides. He has no strong allegiance to MEGATRON or the DECEPTICONS, but is more than willing to hire himself out as a Mercenary/Bounty Hunter. 

Robot Mode Power: LOCKDOWN is outfitted with all kinds of high-tech weaponry befitting a robot hunter – bolos, snare nets, electronic stun darts (which can prevent mode changes), etc. He also can go into a Predator-like stealth mode for brief periods. 

Vehicle Mode Appearance: Muscle Car.

Character description from package "tech spec":  Lockdown couldn't care less about Megatron and his grand goals of universal domination.  He's in the game for upgrades, pure and simple, and he wears the Decepticon badge because they're the ones who can get him the systems he wants.  For the right price he'll hunt down any target and bring it in - functioning or not.  As a bonus, every new target means new trophies for his workshop wall.  He enjoys his work, and he's traveled from one end of the universe to the other doing it, which is why he's got a collection of weapons and functions second to none.

Other appearances: Lockdown is an original character making his debut in the Transformers: Animated series.  A great name, it's surprising, (and rare) that there have been no other characters in the Transformers mythology with the same name.  Later this year, there will be a retool of this mold, including Lockdown with his chainsaw and also Stealth Lockdown recolor, Activator toys and "Bumper Battlers" as well, each different toy versions of the same character.
